Briar-Rose Danes

We have always loved Danes but our true love with the breed was realized when we brought our 'Chewy' home. Not only is he a beautiful and happy boy but he is a cherished member of our family! Having Chewy in our lives made us realize that we wanted to raise these wonderful dogs so that other families could share the joy that we did with this gentle giant!

Sadly... the breeder that Chewy came from would not return our calls and we never received our registration papers. We decided to neuter Chewy but if not for him our kennel would not be here today! 

The blues had caught our eye so we decided that we would begin our search for the dogs that would help us to begin our mission. Trouble's breeder was so nice and helpful and we chose our first girl at just a few weeks old. When Trouble arrived she was more beautiful and special than we had imagined and we knew that she was perfect for our beginning...

We started searching for the perfect boy to pair her with and by a wonderful chance Ranger came into our lives. He was just what we were looking for with a mix of American and import lines that seem to us to produce that 'perfect Dane'.

When we made the decision that we were commited to raising these wonderful dogs we new that we had to have a name that was befitting such magnanimous beings who seem to be so tough but still so sweet. 

So began Briar-Rose Danes...

Who is taking orders from Chewy here at Briar-Rose when they aren't fighting for a little space on the couch...?
